DecifraVet
our story, note by note ↓

How we got here.

The milestones that took decifra-vet.it from an intuition in front of a dog's blood work to today's open beta. All verifiable, no made-up dates.

  1. Winter '26

    Done

    A report, and an idea.

One evening I pick up my dog's blood work and don't understand a thing. I spend the night looking up every value on Google, anxious, only to find out everything was normal. I think there has to be a simpler way.

  2. Jan '26

    Done

    First prototype.

I start experimenting with an AI engine to pull structured information out of a photo or PDF. The first prompt does a decent job on a test blood count.

  3. Feb '26

    Done

    Navigable site.

Landing, pricing, sample reports, mocked analysis flow. The visual identity takes shape, a sage and terracotta palette. Still no Stripe or database, but the site has a shape of its own.

  4. Mar '26

    Done

    Production deploy.

From here on every change is visible within minutes on decifra-vet.vercel.app.

  5. Apr '26

    Done

    Payments and AI engine live.

You can pay securely by card and the AI starts answering for real. Photo upload from your phone, compression and PDF assembly all transparent to the user.

  6. May '26

    Done

    New features added.

One free analysis without an account, the veterinary chatbot, a glossary of terms and a colour PDF. The result page gets refined with the severity triage.

  7. May '26

    Done

    Open beta with first testers.

We open up to a small group of friends and family to test the product on real documents. We add a feedback channel inside the site and a dedicated guide for testers.

  8. Jun '26

    Done

    decifra-vet.it domain.

On 13 June we leave the temporary .vercel.app: the site goes live on its final domain, with a redirect from the old address. Opening to the general public.

  9. Jun '26

    Done

Pet profiles, report archive and post-analysis chat.

A profile for each animal (species, breed, age, weight, treatments) that makes analyses more precise, an archive where you find all the reports you've uploaded, and the vet chat tied to each analysis for questions about the result.

  10. Jul '26

    Done

    Symptom photo analysis.

Besides reports, you can upload a photo of a visible problem your pet has and get guidance. The pet profile gains an avatar and a clinical history.

  11. Jul '26

    Now

Open beta, heading to live payments.

The service is open to everyone and during the beta the analyses are on us: payments stay in test mode while we prepare the switch to live Stripe. We are here.

  12. Next

    Coming

    More report types.

We're studying how to broaden the report types we support (cytology, histology, ultrasound) beyond blood work, urine tests, X-rays and prescriptions.

  13. Next

    Coming

    Reminders for your pet's health.

Email alerts for vaccine boosters, parasite prevention, periodic check-ups and re-checks of values worth watching, drawn from the reports you upload.
